Open Board Positions for 2015-16

Thinking of getting more involved? The PTO board is a group of fun, caring people who love the staff and students at Marcy and we are looking for a few more good people! There are several open positions for the upcoming school year.   Please take a moment to read the position descriptions and if you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, fill out the form below.  If you have any questions about the positions or if you think you might be interested but are not sure where you may fit, fill out the form and ask for someone to contact you.

Open Positions:

President: Oversees the day-to-day running of the organization. Acts as contact person for principal and staff. Plans and presides over monthly board meetings and three general meetings. Time Commitment: Varies; approx 5-10 hours per week, monthly board meetings.

Vice President of Ways and Means:  Oversee the coordinators of the fundraising activities of the organization. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week, monthly board meetings.

Website Coordinator: Duties include maintaining the Marcy PTO website and writing postings as needed. Working knowledge of WordPress is desired, but not necessary. Training will be provided. Time Commitment: approx. 1-3 hours per week, monthly board meetings.

Room Parent Coordinator: Liaison between the board and the room parents for each classroom. Coordinates the end-of-year picnic.   Time Commitment: 1 room parent mtg in Sept, approx. 5-10 hours to plan and execute end of year picnic, monthly board meetings.
